Youth facing substance use and behavioral health challenges need authentic connection with supportive adults. Open Doors provides tools to engage youth, break down stigma, and connect them with support. By providing additional tools to those working with youth, we can create a statewide support network capable of making a lasting impact on the well-being of youth throughout California.

Learning Objectives:
- Examine how attuned adult-youth relationships support development and apply strategies to build trust and authenticity.
- Integrate harm reduction principles to engage youth in culturally responsive, stigma-reducing conversations around substance use.
- Use restorative approaches to identify youth needs, reduce access barriers, and connect them with behavioral health supports.
Prerequisites
A 2.5 hour self-paced online groundwork is required to be completed by all registrants 10 days before training date.
