Collaborative Problem Solving (RCS ONLY)

Description

Trainees will learn how to identify lagging social and emotional skills in children that could be the source of challenging behaviors. Trainees will learn how to work collaboratively with the child to build those lagging skills so the child can be more successful in the classroom and in their life.

CPS training equips foster parents, caseworkers, and other caregivers with tools to approach challenging behaviors in a more empathetic and understanding way. By fostering a collaborative, rather than confrontational, approach to problem-solving, caregivers can create safer and more supportive environments for children, reducing stress and promoting positive behavior changes.
